Ephemera — infrastructure as living Markdown
Ephemera is an AI-agent skill for managing cloud infrastructure as living Markdown. Each stack is one human-readable Markdown file — named for the stack and its cloud provider — that states intent, carries the exact commands to realize it, records what got built, verifies itself, and can tear itself down: an observe-verify-act loop instead of batch-apply-and-pray. The cloud stays the source of truth, so there are no state files, lock backends, or bootstrap ceremony. And the idea isn’t new — it’s the concept we were already practicing, just made executable. A plan.
- One Markdown file per stack — prose + commands, auditable in a sitting
- Observe → verify → act: every step checked before the next, so no half-applied stacks
- Built for AI agents, with explicit gates for billable and destructive actions
- Multi-cloud: one intent, provider-specific bindings (AWS, Cloudflare, GCP, Azure)
- No init, no lock files, no state backend — just the file, your CLIs, and the cloud
